Crazy Lace Agate Rough Stones Beautiful rough pieces of Australian crazy lace agate. Crazy lace agate is characterized by its particular banding patterns, mostly in white, gray, yellow, red and cream colors. Some bands of tiny macrocrystalline clear quartz and/or red macrocrystalline quartz are present. Some vugs/cavities opened to show quartz crystals on the pieces, independent of banding. These Diopside small rough stones are presented in their natural, unworked state, showcasing the characteristic green color for which this mineral is known.  The stones originate from Brazil and exhibit the typical crystalline structure and surface texture of rough diopside.  Dragon Blood Jasper Rough Stones These dragon jasper rough stones are a new and interesting jasper variety from South Africa. Red veins of jasper run irregularly through a faintly sparkly green/gray matrix with occasional dendrites. The red colors range from bright red, to brick red, to maroon and look like they were once a liquid that flowed and pooled before hardening - hence, like dried blood.  Rough Feldspar Stones Feldspar is a good, basic, solid stone, used for many lapidary purposes. These rough pieces of feldspar from Brazil are generally a nice white color. Most are sparkly from tiny pieces of mica that form concurrently and in seams with the feldspar. The feldspar often breaks on those seams, thick or thin.  Rough Flint from Poland - 1 pound This flint's coloration makes it very unique! It's some of the prettiest flint available anywhere! The exteriors show a chalky white color, while the interiors display bands that layer, swirl and even form orbs, in cream to tan to gray to light black colors.  Rough Kambamba Jasper - 1 Pound Also known as crocodile jasper/rock, kambamba jasper is actually a jasperized fossil. Stromatolite algae, once part of a warm, shallow sea, through mineral replacement, eventually became a beautiful, unique green jasper. Kambamba is mainly a medium, mint green, with dark green/black circular orbs. It takes a beautiful polish and is good for many decorative and lapidary purposes! About 1-3 pieces per pound.  Natural Kyanite Individual Crystals These individual kyanite crystals, called blades, display the light to medium blue so typical of good, common kyanite. A few are a dark blue, a few are gemmy, but most have various blue colors with a reflective, silvery sheen. These are NOT clusters but individual blades made up of tiny, rigid hairlike growths. Most are long, thin blades, with barely a trace of the quartz matrix.   Size: mostly smaller pieces, from about 1/2 up to about 1 1/2 inches long.  WARNING: These are fragile and break easily. Labradorite Rough Stones Labradorite is a stone famous for its color-changing properties. It has bright, vivid colors that can change in a fraction of an inch and also shift depending on the angle from which light shines on it. Turning it back and forth can cause the colors to appear to ripple and spread over the piece. These rough stones can display the famous colors when dry but they are better viewed when the stones are wetted or polished. They need good orientation before being cut, in order to best display the interior structure.   Size: about 2.5 to 5 inches long and 1.5 to 5 inches wide. Labradorite Slabs This labradorite is already slabed (but not polished) and ready to be processed to jewellery. The slabs have been cut in our lapidary and range in thickness from about1/4" thickness. Slabs are normally used for cabbing or to create other pieces of art. These pre-shaped slabs with about 1" to 4" save lot's of time in cutting. All slabs are good quality graded with nice sparkling colors including blue.
