Bismuth Crystals Bismuth is a beautiful, pure metal - the 83rd element on the peiodic table of elements! These pieces were mined and melted. As each cooled, a natural crystal grew in its own hoppered structure. This cooling process also gave the pieces their shiny, colorful iridescent oxidation; some may have silver-colored edges. Clear Quartz Obelisks These obelisks are absolutely stunning. Each one is a FOUR-SIDED obelisk (not a polished quartz point) with beveled edges. They are wider at the bottom and slightly tapered towards the top, some more so than others. Most are even clearer than the models in the photos! They have a very high-quality polish, with no bits of the polishing compound left in them and are made of high quality quartz. Golden Quartz Spheres These unusual quartz spheres have a strong golden color, but they do not contain citrine. Their golden color is caused by iron inclusions which usually occur in flat layers in the spheres. Some also have few clear, white orr dark gray quartz patches mixed in.  Midnight Lace Obsidian Gemstone Egg Here are solid Midnight Lace Obsidian eggs. The stone is a translucent light black, with black banding and the occasional mahogany and/or silver velvet obsidian mixed in. The eggs may appear solid black due to the thicknes of the stone, with glints of light around the edges possible. Pyrite Coarse Granules These pyrite pieces are small: about midway between our pyrite sand and our small pieces. They are about the size of pea gravel or about 1/3 to 1/4 inches long and are completely pure with NO other rock additives or fillers.  Rose Quartz Star Spheres Star rose quartz - the famous deep pink variety from Madagascar! These rose quartz spheres show the asterism for which the Madagascar rose quartz is so famous. When a single-source light, such as the sun, a halogen or a LED, shines directly on the sphere, a white 4- or 6-rayed star appears on the surface where the light is shining. This is a phenomenon attributed to the unique alignment of titanium and iron fibers that occurred during the formation of the rose quartz. All of these spheres are a great quality, with good coloration in various shades of pink, a high polish and good condition. Size: from about 1 1/15 to 3' in diameter. Schalenblende Small Slabs - One Side Polished These unusual specimens hail from Poland. They are a combination of galena (the silvery metallic part), sphalerite (the brown bands), and wurzite (the tan/vanilla color) which fluoresces orange under ultraviolet light. Some also contain a little pyrite. They occur in masses with concentric layers of the three or sometimes four minerals. Schalenblende is the German name which has carried over directly into English, although they are also called "brunckite" in Australia. Because mined in Europe, this stone is less well known in the USA and correspondingly more rare. All pieces are face-polished and most have a flat saw-cut on the backside, while some have the irregular end-cuts on the backside. Septarian Nodule Spheres Beautiful, unique, polished septarian nodule spheres. Each one has its own pattern! Different shades of gold, gray/brown and deep brown complement each other like no other stone. The gold and deep brown aragonite are translucent and glow in the sunlight. The spheres formed the same way, so they are similar in appearance, but always slightly unique.
