Amethyst Crystal Geode Pieces - A Grade These are very good pieces of amethyst crystal geode pieces. Each piece has a good medium purple color with a high luster. Some have goethite crystal inclusions; some have many small crystals while others have fewer but larger ones. Several pieces have a layer of white quartz between the amethyst crystals and the agate base. Size: about 1 1/2 to 4 inches, only about 5/8 inches thick. Polished Amethyst Towers/Points/Obelisks Every single piece of these polished amethyst crystals (towers, obelisks) has been cut by hand. They have different sizes - from small to tall. Small Amethyst Loose Crystals These nice amethyst crystals are loose, not part of a geode. They are completely natural: uncut, unpolished and not heated - they are in excellent condition. Many are a nice size and shape for wire-wrapping or other jewelry making. Some tend to have white tails, so they are usually not completely purple from top to tip. Size: 1 inch to 2 inch long.  Polished Amethyst Stalactite Slices Every last one of these is unique! These are slabs taken from stalactites that form inside of large geodes from Uruguay. The geodes are usually mined for their amethyst crystals, only some have stalactites inside. The stalactites are quite rare. What is inside of the stalactites is always a mystery, as they form with different minerals and under various conditions resulting in very different configurations (see picture). All of these slices have been polished on both sides, as far to the end of the tips as possible. As these slices are completely natural and unstabilized, the crystals are very loosely connected to the center and must be treated with care as they are more fragile than other large crystal pieces.   Unit for sale: 7 individual slices - you get exactly the sheet shown in our picture!
