These Thulite rough stones originate from a discovery made in 2018 at an occurrence in Snillfjorden, Norway. This material represents a distinct variety of the national stone of Norway, known for its characteristic pink hues.
Compared to the material from the well-known Leksvik mine, the Thulite from Snillfjorden is slightly lighter in color and softer in its consistency. Due to the easier accessibility of this specific mining site, we are able to offer this mineral at a more favorable price point while maintaining its authentic geological appeal.
The individual pieces range in size from approximately 1 to 5 inches, making them suitable for various applications, from lapidary work to collecting. This item is sold by the pound (1 lb.) and is an excellent choice for those seeking genuine Norwegian Thulite with a unique regional character.
