Obsidian Rough Stones tri-colored - 1 lb

This exceptional tri-colored raw Obsidian is an absolutely natural and untreated volcanic glass sourced directly from the mine in Armenia. This material is unique because it combines three distinct color variations in the same specimens: translucent parts showing the characteristic lines of Midnight Lace Obsidian, brown sections typical of Mahogany Obsidian, and solid black parts.

Due to its conchoidal fracture, Obsidian produces very sharp edges, a property that made it a vital material for making tools and blades during the Stone Age. Today, these rough stones remain highly popular for flintknapping, as well as for lapidary work and collecting.

The pieces range in size from 2 to 6 inches and are delivered in their raw, unpolished state. Each pound provides a selection of these authentic geological specimens, showcasing the diverse mineralogy of Armenian volcanic glass.

CAUTION: Handle with extreme care. Obsidian has very sharp edges and can cause cuts. This is not a toy and is not suitable for children.
