Discover the earthy power of Red Jasper in its most authentic form. Sourced directly from South Africa, this rough Red Jasper features a rich, deep brick-red color that has made it a staple in the lapidary world for centuries. As a variety of microcrystalline quartz, Jasper is exceptionally durable (Mohs 6.5–7) and takes a spectacular high-gloss polish.
These raw stones are perfect for rock tumbling, cabbing, or wire wrapping. In their rough state, you may notice thin veins of white Quartz or minor mineral "staining," which adds unique character to every finished piece. Each 1 lb unit typically contains 1 to 3 pieces, with larger specimens available up to 8 inches long and weighing up to 6.5 lbs.
Buyer's Tip: Rough minerals often look different depending on moisture. In their dry state, they may appear dusty or muted; however, when wet or polished, the vibrant, saturated red tones truly come to life. If you have a specific preference for your order (e.g., one large piece versus several smaller ones), please let us know in the comments field during checkout, and we will do our best to accommodate your request!
